Levente SZÁSZ
Vice-Rector for Entrepreneurship and Quality
Dr. Levente Szász is the Vice-Rector for the Hungarian line of study at Babeș-Bolyai University (UBB) in Cluj-Napoca, overseeing the fields of entrepreneurship and quality assurance. As a full professor at UBB’s Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, he teaches primarily subjects related to corporate management. His research focuses on the application of digitalization and Industry 4.0 solutions in the business sector. Previously, he served for over eight years as Vice-Dean of the same faculty, responsible for company relations, scientific research, student competitions and scholarships. He remains actively involved in preparing business students for international case competitions. Within the university, he is the founder and
coordinator of the “Romanian Economic Monitor” research project, through his team analyzes current economic issues and publishes the results using modern data visualization tools, in a format that is free and accessible to the general public.
István PAP
Entrepreneurship Officer at the UBB Entrepreneurship Center
István PAP is a results-driven professional with interdisciplinary experience in entrepreneurship, technology transfer, scientific research, IT, and project management. As Entrepreneurship Officer, he coordinates the activities of the UBB Entrepreneurship Center, contributing to turning ideas into viable initiatives and connecting them with real sources of funding, know-how, and market opportunities. He completed excellence programs in entrepreneurship at Babson College (Boston, USA), within the EUTOPIA network (Sweden), as well as specialized courses at Babeș-Bolyai University. He has managed national and international projects, attracted substantial funding, and provided practical expertise in innovation and youth development through concrete initiatives. Through his work, István PAP supports the creation of an inclusive and sustainable academic entrepreneurial environment, where ideas become real initiatives, and UBB students, staff, and alumni receive tangible support to turn their vision into reality.
